Thank you for the notice, bro. I’ll fix it as soon as possible and get back to you shortly.

Most high-end smartphones today seem to be cut from the same cloth: same designs, same promises, and little innovation. But every now and then, there are flashes of brilliance that remind us why we love this industry. The RedMagic 11 Pro is just that: a breath of fresh air in a market saturated with “more of the same.”

This isn’t just another gadget to play with; it’s a reiteration of the brand’s desire to be the only choice for gaming. The brand has decided to pull out all the stops by integrating a liquid cooling system into a commercial smartphone for the first time. Add to that the most powerful processor currently available and a monster battery, and you have a device that aims to be crowned the undisputed king of performance. But does it really deliver the performance we expect? Let’s break it down after two months of intensive use in different conditions that allowed us to push it to the limit.

Why is liquid cooling important in a smartphone?

Suppose your phone gets hot when you play games for a long time or use heavy applications. The processor slows down to protect itself, causing your games to slow down (the dreaded throttling) or simply become unusable due to the temperatures it reaches. This is where the RedMagic 11 Pro comes in to change all that.

This device integrates the AquaCore system, a real liquid cooling solution, supported by a physical fan that spins at 24,000 revolutions per minute and a gigantic vapor chamber. In our tests, this translates into a huge advantage: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 can run at full power for hours without being affected. We were able to verify this while literally playing in the high temperatures of Qatar.

This means you can play Fortnite, Call of Duty, or Genshin Impact with the graphics set to maximum and absolute smoothness, without raising the temperature too much.

A battery that lets you go even further

RedMagic has managed to fit a 7,500 mAh battery into a body that doesn’t feel like a brick. To put that into perspective, most current flagships are around 5,000 mAh. So forget about carrying your charger everywhere; with this device, you can enjoy long days of gaming or multimedia consumption and still have plenty of power left at the end of the day. And when you finally need to charge it, its 80W fast charging (both wired and wireless) will have you ready in less than an hour.

Features we should not lose sight of

Something we often overlook is the hardware that actually makes up our smartphone, and the RedMagic 11 Pro has once again raised the bar with the following:

    • Display: 6.85-inch 144Hz OLED panel with no cutouts or holes.
    • Invisible camera: The 16MP front camera is hidden under the display.
    • Touch triggers: Configurable side buttons for a console-like experience.
    • Flat design: No camera bump on the back, which is very rare these days.
    • Software: Dedicated gaming software that allows us to get the most out of the hardware.
    • RGB: We all know that lights on any gaming gadget are never a bad thing.

How good are the cameras and the daily experience?

This is where we need to be realistic. The RedMagic 11 Pro is a gaming monster but still lags behind in photography. It has two 50 MP rear cameras (main and ultra-wide angle).

    Full screen

While they take decent, realistic photos in good light, don’t expect great shots, especially when zooming, as it lacks an optical telephoto lens.

    Full screen

The under-display front camera is a technological marvel because it allows you to enjoy your content without visual interruptions, but the quality of the selfies is still a bit average.

If you are a content creator, this may not be your first choice for everything related to photography. However, if you prioritize performance, futuristic aesthetics, and a spectacular screen, this smartphone is totally worth it, as it is unbeatable when it comes to running video games or even video editing.

    Best

    • Its liquid cooling system
    • Great performance
    • Digital Buttons
    • Software designed for gamers
    • 7500 mAh battery
    • 2.3 mm jack

    Worst

    • Selfie camera
    • The included protector does not do the device justice

    Score: 9.5
