Mobile app security company NowSecure Inc. today introduced a set of artificial intelligence-native features for its testing platform, including a chat assistant, a Model Context Protocol server and new detection for vulnerabilities specific to AI-powered mobile apps.
The additions target a fast-moving problem. NowSecure’s 2026 Mobile App Risk Management Survey found that 95% of organizations already run AI inside their mobile apps. Yet 37% said they cannot fully see what that AI is doing.
The new AI Chat lets security teams ask plain-language questions about their app portfolio. Answers draw on binary analysis and runtime data pulled from real devices, the company said.
The MCP server and an expanded application programming interface open NowSecure’s mobile risk knowledge graph to outside software. Engineering teams can feed findings, testing methods, remediation guidance, compliance mappings and supporting evidence into their own AI agents and DevSecOps pipelines. NowSecure said the setup lets teams automate testing and fixes while keeping the human approval steps that regulated environments require.
NowSecure is also advancing AI Navigator, a tool it uses to explore apps automatically and triage results, drawing on internal tooling and open-source projects including Frida and Radare2.
The platform gains detection aimed at AI itself. NowSecure said its testing of 50,000 mobile apps found that 53% contain AI components, many of which slip past conventional app review. Those apps introduce newer forms of exposure. Data flows turn opaque, identity and authorization models shift and supply-chain risk widens.
That exposure is set to grow. NowSecure pointed to a coming wave of AI agents that can book travel, make purchases and reach account data inside third-party apps without a person driving each step.
The company is also expanding governance and policy controls, with added documentation and configuration options for regulated buyers in banking, healthcare and government. NowSecure counts the U.S. Departments of Justice, Defense and State among its customers.
NowSecure Chief Executive Alan Snyder said AI is “reshaping both mobile development speed and app risk,” and that risk management has to move with it. He framed the update as a way to automate testing without giving up the visibility teams need to make sound risk decisions.
Snyder added that the tools let teams automate more of their testing. Risk decisions still route through people.
NowSecure will demo the new features at Black Hat in Las Vegas next month.
