Thank you for the notice, bro. I’ll fix it as soon as possible and get back to you shortly.

Staying organized is somehow both my superpower and my Achilles’ heel. I love a system and a process, but I also relish the sweet relief of procrastination. It’s amazing how quickly “I can just deal with that tomorrow” turns into “I should have dealt with that a month ago.” Before I know it, my carefully curated to-do lists are defunct. I can’t count the number of planners I’ve bought and abandoned, or the daily routines I’ve tried that never quite stuck.

But I’ve promised myself that 2026 will be different. With a new job and a move to a new city on the horizon, it’s more important than ever that I use my time wisely and stay productive—which is why I thought I’d give Tiimo a try.

Could this iPhone app be the silver-bullet productivity tool I’ve been looking for? I put Tiimo to the test, and ahead, I’m breaking down exactly what it does, how it works and whether it’s a productivity game-changer.

    What is Tiimo, exactly?

Tiimo is a visual daily planning app billed as a tool “for anyone who thrives with structure, reminders and flexibility.” It’s designed to especially support neurodivergent brains, like my own, by combining a calendar, to-do list, focus tools, visual planner and “gentle nudges” into one handy app.

You can access the app for free on all Apple devices, but there’s no Android version for now. There is a premium subscription option for $10 per month (or $42 a year), which grants you unlimited AI planning, the ability to sync with personal calendars and access to the web app.

With 14,000 reviews and a 4.6 rating, it’s no surprise that Apple named Tiimo the 2025 iPhone App of the Year. In an increasingly connected world with constant competing priorities, we’re all looking to get a little more organized and productive.

    How does it work?

Tiimo works with you to figure out what needs to get done and when, taking the mental load of planning your day off your plate.

    Set daily tasks

There are a few ways to get organized with Tiimo. The app lets you create a daily agenda of tasks that need to be accomplished by a certain time, along with a more general to-do list organized by priority. If I want to read from 2 to 4 p.m., it’s going on my daily tasks; if I need to put my laundry away at some point today but I don’t know when I’ll have time, I’ll stick it on the to-do list. I can organize items by low, medium and high priority there, so I know what needs to be knocked out first.

Submitting entries to your daily tasks or to-do list is pretty straightforward: You can select either an exact time by which something needs to be done and how long you expect it to take or a general time of day it should be finished (such as morning, afternoon or evening). You can even break down each entry into subtasks that will let you get through your lists in bite-sized chunks.

    Outsource to the AI assistant

If you don’t want to deal with the tedium of getting organized, Tiimo’s AI assistant can help you figure out how to tackle your schedule. Sharing the details of your day or week ahead in a message to the chatbot will prompt it to suggest relevant daily tasks or to-do list items, including estimated timings and adorable accompanying emojis that make a jam-packed agenda seem way more approachable.

    Stay on track

As you go throughout your day, Tiimo will give you Pomodoro-esque timers for each task, helping you stay accountable and on track. The app even lets you listen to some chill lo-fi beats as you get your work done, so you don’t have to pause your productivity to find your favorite playlist.

How does Tiimo differ from other productivity apps?

The way Tiimo organizes tasks visually and offers AI support makes it much easier to use than other productivity apps I’ve tried. Sometimes, starting my day by breaking down everything I need to get done makes it feel even more intimidating. But Tiimo’s AI assistant does the heavy-lifting for you.

In my week of using the app, I developed a morning check-in that never felt daunting; instead, I kind of looked forward to it. I could send a long, almost therapeutic message to the chatbot with everything I needed to accomplish that day, and it would structure it all for me, spitting out a fully realized agenda that I could customize if it needed a bit of rearranging or confirm if everything looked just right.

The in-app focus timers also set Tiimo apart. They kept my attention on the task at hand, offering a clear sense of how much time remained and what was next on the docket. You can even add widgets so your current tasks and timers show up right on your home screen.

So did it make me more productive?

Without a doubt, Tiimo made me more productive. I can’t overstate just how effectively it unburdened me from the stress of planning my days.

At a time when I’m working from home, planning a move, managing my personal life and balancing some creative projects, staying organized is important but oh, so boring. Tiimo not only made it easier to move through my to-dos (thanks, AI assistant), but it also made the process more fun as I identified the just-right emoji for each task and vibed to the in-app tunes as I got my work done.

Like many people (at least according to TikTok), I often struggle with structuring my “five-to-nine,” or the window of time before or after my nine-to-five job. Staying productive when I’m exhausted is such a challenge. During my week of using Tiimo, this is where I got the biggest boost in productivity.

I no longer spent four hours after work procrastinating on dinner until I inevitably caved in and ordered takeout. For the first time in my adult life, I carefully planned my evenings. I meal-prepped. I got some reading and writing done. I even spent a bit of dedicated time each night packing, cleaning or calling movers, which didn’t just lower my stress last week—this kind of priority planning will keep me stress-free in the weeks to come.

The regimented timeliness of Tiimo could be an obstacle if you need a bit more flexibility in your day. Sometimes, I was a bit overwhelmed by notifications marking the start of a new task. It felt like I was running behind. However, the app’s flexibility in customizing notifications and moving your schedule around as needed made sure the only thing I had to worry about was what actually worked for me.

    Is it worth downloading?

Based on my experience, Tiimo is definitely worth downloading—especially if, like me, you’re someone who craves structure but resists rigidity. It doesn’t promise to magically cure procrastination or turn you into a hyperproductive robot overnight, but it does meet you where you are and make the act of getting things done feel lighter and more achievable.

Tiimo feels less like another abandoned planner and more like a type-A bestie who understands my brain, adapts when I need grace and helps turn “I’ll deal with that tomorrow” into “Actually, I’ve got this.”
