Marvell Technology (NASDAQ:MRVL | MRVL Price Prediction) shares are up 7% in Wednesday trading, climbing above $106 after opening at $99.05. The catalyst is unmistakable: NVIDIA‘s (NASDAQ:NVDA) $2 billion strategic investment in Marvell, integrating the company into the NVIDIA AI factory and AI-RAN ecosystem through NVLink Fusion. The move puts Marvell squarely at the center of the AI infrastructure buildout, and investors are repricing the stock accordingly.

Is this a one-day pop, or the beginning of a more durable re-rating? The fundamentals suggest the latter. Marvell’s fiscal 2026 data center revenue reached $6.1 billion, up 46.5% year over year, representing 74.4% of total revenues.

Thus, Marvell Technology isn’t just a diversified chipmaker hedging its bets. It has become an AI infrastructure specialist, and NVIDIA just stamped its approval with a $2 billion check.

NVIDIA Validation Rewrites the Investment Thesis

The NVLink Fusion partnership focuses on four key areas: custom XPUs, NVLink Fusion-compatible scale-up networking, silicon photonics technology, and transforming 5G/6G telecommunications networks into AI-ready infrastructure. That’s a comprehensive architectural integration spanning custom XPUs, networking, silicon photonics, and 5G/6G infrastructure. Clearly, Marvell is being woven into the fabric of NVIDIA’s AI factory model.

This investment is part of NVIDIA’s broader strategy of making $2 billion bets on strategic technology partners to expand its AI ecosystem. For Marvell, the endorsement matters as much as the capital. When the dominant GPU platform chooses you as a deep infrastructure partner, it signals to every hyperscaler that your products belong in their next-generation data centers.

You can read more about why the Marvell-NVIDIA deal has the AI world talking. The short version: this is a competitive moat being built in real time, with NVIDIA providing both the blueprint and the funding.

    Product Leadership Backs the Narrative

The NVIDIA deal didn’t arrive in a vacuum. Marvell acquired Celestial AI for $3.25 billion in February, adding photonic fabric technology that directly complements its silicon photonics work with NVIDIA. That acquisition, combined with the NVLink Fusion integration, gives Marvell a vertically coherent optical interconnect story that few competitors can match.

Marvell also launched the industry’s first 260-lane PCIe 6.0 switch for AI data center scale-up infrastructure, offering double the lane density of competitive products. That kind of technical differentiation is what earns design wins at hyperscalers. The company’s interconnect business is projected to grow over 50% in fiscal 2027, driven by rising AI infrastructure spending.

Furthermore, Marvell’s Q4 FY2026 results showed EPS of $0.80, beating estimates, on revenue of $2.22 billion, also beating estimates. Marvell Technology CEO Matt Murphy noted that the company’s “data center revenue growth forecast for next year is now higher than prior expectations.” FY2027 data center growth guidance stands at over 40%, on top of an already exceptional fiscal 2026.

Bull Case, Bear Case, and What to Watch

The analyst consensus for MRVL stock sits at a “Moderate Buy” with an average price target of $117.24. Oppenheimer has raised its target to $150, while Jefferies carries a $120 target. Could today’s price action signal more upside through the remainder of 2026?

At today’s price of around $106, there’s meaningful room to rally under most scenarios. The NVIDIA partnership adds a strategic premium that traditional valuation models may not fully capture yet.

The bears have a few legitimate points worth acknowledging, though. Marvell’s revenue is heavily concentrated among a small number of hyperscaler customers, creating concentration risk. Moreover, geopolitical tensions and export controls remain potential headwinds.

Investors should watch whether MRVL shares can hold above $106 into the close. The stock’s 52-week high stands at $102.70, meaning today’s price, if sustained, would mark a fresh multi-year high. That technical breakout, combined with the NVIDIA partnership and accelerating data center fundamentals, gives the bulls a credible case for continued momentum through the rest of the quarter and, possibly, the year.
