Garrett Bourbina has three professional work titles.
Bourbina is a certified financial planner (CFP), accredited portfolio management advisor (APMA) and is the senior wealth advisor at the Landing Point Financial Group, 36901 American Way, Suite 7, in Avon.
In May, Bourbina will celebrate his 10th year at Landing Point Financial Group.

Bourbina said his interest in finance started in high school when he took a personal finance class and realized how empowering it could be to understand money.
“I even began tracking investments on a whiteboard in my bedroom just for fun,” he said. “In college, I studied personal financial planning at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where I learned that financial success isn’t just about investing, it’s about all the interconnected pieces, from taxes and cash flow to insurance and estate planning.
“What really motivates me is seeing the impact of my work, helping clients gain confidence in their financial future, reduce stress and focus on the things that matter most to them. Knowing that I can make that kind of difference, keeps me passionate about what I do every day.”
The core mission of Landing Point Financial Group is to be a blessing to the clients, community and its team, Bourbina said.
“We want more people to have access to high-quality financial wisdom,” he said. “There is no shortage of information in today’s world, but quantity doesn’t equal quality.
“We’ve built our processes to help clients plan thoroughly with the ultimate goal of giving them back their time so they can focus on the things they’re truly passionate about.”
Bourbina said a typical day at work revolves around three main things.
“Helping our clients feel confident and prepared for their financial futures; supporting our advisors so they can grow and deliver even better advice; constantly looking for new ways to share high-quality financial wisdom with more people,” he said. “Every day is a mix of coaching, problem-solving and creating tools or strategies that make planning simpler and more impactful for the people we serve.”
Looking ahead, Landing Point Financial Group is launching a podcast in January called The Retirement Switch, which will provide practical guidance on the decisions that go into flipping their own retirement switch, Bourbina said.
“With so much information available online and the growing use of AI in finance, I still see a strong need for human-centered financial advice,” he said. “Technology can provide data and projections, but it can’t measure the emotional impact of financial decisions.
“The stress, uncertainty and confidence that come with major choices. At Landing Point Financial Group, we see a future where advisors use these tools to enhance their insights and efficiency, freeing us to focus on understanding clients’ goals, coordinating all the moving pieces of their finances and helping them make decisions they feel good about for their future.”
